GRT is expanding fare buying options with the new GRT Pay app. Users can buy single-ride GRT tickets anytime from anywhere, using their mobile device.
The tickets can be used on GRT buses, trains and MobilityPLUS vehicles. Transit app users will be able to buy tickets within the app without downloading GRT Pay.
Making transit easier to use is one of the priorities of GRT’s upcoming Business Plan.
“Adding new fare payment options makes the decision to take transit easier,” said Karen Redman, Chair of the Region of Waterloo. “GRT Pay will make taking GRT even more attractive and encourage new riders. And riders help reduce the impact on the environment with every ride.”
You can purchase tickets in the GRT Pay app, Transit app, using the GRT Pay website, or at any GRT Customer Service Centre.
